Advanced Placement Scholars

Advanced Placement Scholars at Hylton High School

The College Board offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams. Although there is no monetary award, in addition to receiving an award certificate, this achievement is acknowledged on any AP score report that is sent to colleges the following fall.

AP Scholar Award Breakfast

Our tradition at C. D. Hylton High School is to celebrate our AP Scholars with a breakfast for the scholars and their families. This breakfast is special for us because it allows us to both celebrate our current Hylton AP Scholars as well as to welcome back our recent graduates who earned AP Scholar awards during exam administration in their senior year.

This year we will be recognizing all 65 current Hylton High School students and alumni who earned an AP Scholar Award for their work during the 2022-2023 school year to an AP Scholar Breakfast on Wednesday January 10, 2024. Invitations will be sent via mail and email whenever possible.
