Requirements for Participation

The requirements below must be completed prior to being permitted to try out for any athletic team or participate in any athletic activities.

Students must:

• Have a completed online athletic registration in Arbiter.
  • Parent/guardian must create an account in Arbiter.
  • Complete Hylton High School Athletic Registration 2026-27.
  • Need assistance? View Online Athletic Registration Instructions.
• Have completed Student-Athlete education (part of the online athletic registration process in Arbiter).
• Have a current Virginia High  School League (VHSL) physical form (signed by parent/guardian and physician) submitted through the online athletic registration process.
• Maintain eligibility requirements set forth by VHSL and in the PWCS High School Activities and Athletics Eligibility and Participation Guidelines.

C.D. Hylton High School is Accepting Nominations for the 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction 

The mission of the C.D. Hylton Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and performances of men and women, who through their efforts have brought honor and esteem to themselves and the C. D. Hylton athletics.

Criteria for Nomination

New Inductees

• C. D. Hylton alumni are eligible to be nominated for the Athletic Hall of Fame five years after graduation, having participated in at least one varsity sport.
• Those eligible for nomination include – athletes, coaches, and contributors.

Nomination

• Anyone may nominate an athlete, coach, or contributor following the guidelines under new inductees.
• Nominations must be sent to Sal Colangelo at [email protected]
• Nominations will be done via the electronic nomination form.
• Nominees not selected for induction are eligible for nomination in the following year but must be resubmitted via the nomination process.

Criteria Used in Evaluation

• Athletes will be judged on achievements and accomplishments while in high school. Nominees must have been out of high school for five years.
• Coaches will be considered on the merits of coaching achievements while at C.D. Hylton. Nominees must no longer be coaching at C.D. Hylton.
• Contributors will be considered on service and dedication to athletic programs at C.D. Hylton. Nominees do not have to have been employed at C.D. Hylton.
