C.D. Hylton High School's counseling department provides a world-class student-centered, comprehensive counseling program that ensures that all students achieve to their fullest potential by partnering with other educators and stakeholders to advocate for equitable access that will lead all students to succeed. The counseling staff is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment in which all students can develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to achieve and maximize their immediate and future academic, personal, social and career development. The array of counseling services and programs offered will ultimately result in producing contributing individuals who exhibit a strong sense of cultural awareness, are able to compete in a global market and who possess a foundation for lifelong learning and success.
Students of the C.D. Hylton High School counseling program develop into curious, resilient, and accepting adults who embrace lifelong learning as a mechanism for change and growth. As these adults progress on their career paths they engage, improve, and enrich their communities.
