Mission Statement

C.D. Hylton High School's counseling department provides a world-class student-centered, comprehensive counseling program that ensures that all students achieve to their fullest potential by partnering with other educators and stakeholders to advocate for equitable access that will lead all students to succeed. The counseling staff is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment in which all students can develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to achieve and maximize their immediate and future academic, personal, social and career development. The array of counseling services and programs offered will ultimately result in producing contributing individuals who exhibit a strong sense of cultural awareness, are able to compete in a global market and who possess a foundation for life-long learning and success.
