Requirements for Participation in Sports:
The requirements below must be completed prior to being permitted to try out for any athletic team or participate in any athletic activities.
Students must:
- Have a completed online athletic registration in Arbiter.
- Parent/guardian must create an account in Arbiter.
- Complete Hylton High School Athletic Registration 2026-27.
- Need assistance? View Online Athletic Registration Instructions.
- Have completed Student-Athlete education (part of the online athletic registration process in Arbiter).
- Have a current Virginia High School League (VHSL) physical form (signed by parent/guardian and physician) submitted through the online athletic registration process.
- Maintain eligibility requirements set forth by VHSL and in the PWCS High School Activities and Athletics Eligibility and Participation Guidelines.
All students trying out for spring sports must check in with Dr. Holland in the gym to receive a Tryout Pass before going to your coach.

Regatta (Race) Schedule - Unless noted, all races are on the Occoquan. We row out of the boathouse in Lake Ridge Park. Races are Hylton Saturdays.

Program Overview
High School Crew is a Varsity sport at C.D. Hylton High School which started in the spring of 1992 with Glenn Benoit as the coach and 29 members both male and female. In February 2026, we will began our 34nd competitive season as a member of the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association. We are open to all Hylton students and no prior experience is required!
