Requirements for Participation in Sports:
The requirements below must be completed prior to being permitted to try out for any athletic team or participate in any athletic activities.
Students must:
- Have a completed online athletic registration in Arbiter.
- Parent/guardian must create an account in Arbiter.
- Complete Hylton High School Athletic Registration 2026-27.
- Need assistance? View Online Athletic Registration Instructions.
- Have completed Student-Athlete education (part of the online athletic registration process in Arbiter).
- Have a current Virginia High School League (VHSL) physical form (signed by parent/guardian and physician) submitted through the online athletic registration process.
- Maintain eligibility requirements set forth by VHSL and in the PWCS High School Activities and Athletics Eligibility and Participation Guidelines.
Fall 2026 Tryouts:
August 5, 6, and 7. Time TBD.

- Announcement 1 - 6/16/2026:
- Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) officially added boys' volleyball as a sanctioned varsity sport across all high schools, debuting for the 2026-2027 school year. C.D. Hylton will have a team. Tryouts for boys' volleyball will be in August, like other fall sports. Hylton students interested in boys volleyball are encouraged to attend any of the local camps or school conditioning sessions beginning this July.
- Announcement 2 - 6/16/2026:
- C.D. Hylton has hired a head coach for the boys' volleyball team. Coach Gerry Peters was the girls' JV Coach last year. The team will have conditioning sessions on Tu/Wed/Thur from 10:00 am - 1:00 PM between July 6 and July 24. Tryouts will be Aug 5-7. Students interested in participating in the conditioning and tryouts must have a completed physical exam added to the Arbiter. Contact Coach Gerry Peters at [email protected].
- Announcement 3 - 6/16/2026:
- There are several area programs that have set up specialized training to help prepare students for this fall’s boys volleyball season debut. Battle Volleyball Club’s program (https://www.battlevolleyballclub.com/) is on Tu/Thur from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Virginia Volleyball Factory beginning 6/16/2026. You can look for camps or a local club on the Northern Virginia Volleyball Alliance website (https://www.novavolleyballalliance.org/campschedule).
Upcoming Important Dates:
- Summer conditioning will begin July 6 through July 26 on Tu/Wed/Th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. All athletes must have a current physical in the Arbiter system.
