Requirements for Participation in Sports
The requirements below must be completed prior to being permitted to try out for any athletic team or participate in any athletic activities.
Students must:
- Have a completed online athletic registration in Arbiter.
- Parent/guardian must create an account in Arbiter.
- Complete Hylton High School Athletic Registration 2025-26.
- Need assistance? View Online Athletic Registration Instructions.
- Have completed Student-Athlete education (part of the online athletic registration process in Arbiter).
- Have a current Virginia High School League (VHSL) physical form (signed by parent/guardian and physician) submitted through the online athletic registration process.
- Maintain eligibility requirements set forth by VHSL and in the PWCS High School Activities and Athletics Eligibility and Participation Guidelines.

Reminders:
Sports and competiton can become emotional from time to time, this is a gentle reminder that there is a "24-Hour Rule", on game days. Please email or contact Coach Grimes for a meeting to address your questions or concerns. Parents are welcome to attend practice(s) to observe as long they have made prior arrangements with the coach. In the vent of an of an emergency Parents and Guardians are welcome to enter the gym during practice, find a coach and notify him/her of the emergency and your child will be excused expeditiously.
Players must attend school the full day on game days in order to participate.
Please review and discuss sportsmanship with your player this is an VHSL point of emphasis. There is no "I" in TEAM.
Parents we thank for providing both pre-game meals and concession coverage for this 2025-2026 season. See the link for sign-up Genius. We are asking for 2 parents to cover home gameday concessions, free admission when working concessions.
